School

Cascais is more than just a beautiful place by the sea – the city heads a uniquely diverse county that, while very proud of its past, has always looked to the future. The future clearly belongs to the younger generations that will be able to live their careers without the imposed obligations of ages past.
It’s because of these brighter, fresher and more conscientious generations that we’re creating and advancing the Cascais School of Arts & Design – a School that aims at being a world-wide example of innovative educational methods, outstanding people and intense focus on sustainability. We live by the mission to prepare you to make something exceptional with your future so that everyone else’s future can be a bit brighter too.

All the courses are certified by DGERT and give you access to Naba Rome or Milan.

The Philosophy

Our philosophy can be summed up in one word – sustainability. The school itself is an old recycled market. We walk the talk and live out our strong motivation to teach people that wish to change the world through lots of creativity and positive impacts on society and the environment.

We have partnerships with NABA Milan and Rome that allows you to get an undegraduate degree, and it's with all this tools that we aim to prepare you for a future in which sourcing new ways of thinking, new materials and new technologies will seek to bring balance to the world and the human impact on the planet.

Facilities

After requalifying the old market, our project transformed it into a school with fluid and comfortable spaces. For example, we have benches instead of tables and, even though there are plenty of areas for individual work, the focus is on formats that inspire group gatherings. We aim at fostering and facilitating the highest level possible of interaction and idea-sharing between all those studying and working at our school.

The school is also equipped with next-generation technology (we’ll admit it – we’re Mac lovers), ultra-fast WIFI, cafeteria and even a bike park for those who prefer to travel more sustainably.

The place

For anyone who knows Cascais, the School’s site couldn’t be any better – it occupies the old market place, right in the heart of Monte Estoril. Nearby, the famous Cruzeiro Shopping Centre that is now being transformed into an arts centre. It’s also just minutes away from the train station, the beach, and the seawall that goes from Cascais to the mythical Azarujinha beach. Not only are the accesses easy, but the whole environment lives and breathes inspirational opportunities that very few places in the world have the privilege to offer.
