The spaces where we live, learn, work, shop or socialise need to be appropriately thought about to be functional and sustainable. They must be environments that impact us in a positive way when we interact with them.

The Interior Designers we teach at the Cascais School of Arts & Design, itself a careful interior design project, are much more than just passionate about aesthetics. They are professionals that gather knowledge and techniques from diverse areas and don’t limit themselves to space organisation or merely filling it with beautiful objects. They make the connection between the aesthetic, functional, constructive, legal and, of course, sustainable.

This course will also prepare you to apply to one of the NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) graduate courses in Milan or Rome. Check the Portuguese versions of this course.

Course certified by DGERT.

Overview do Curso

Interior Design

Who the course is for

You check to see if a painting is hung straight on a wall. You mix and match different materials, placing objects in other places according to the natural light coming in through a window. You know the difference between summer fabrics and winter ones. You look at a wall and immediately know which colour would look fabulous on it. Your mind is continuously organising and reshuffling furniture and other objects when you walk into a room. You have the mind we’re looking for.
The Cascais School of Arts & Design Interior Design course is created for students and professionals from different areas of architecture and interior design. It’s also built for self-taught professionals that wish to further develop their theoretical and practical knowledge according to correct interior design conception. The course has a limited number of students per class. Apply now.

Interior Design

Conquer your space by designing spaces

Like all other Cascais School of Arts & Design courses, you’ll learn and gain experience by doing. Your projects will be in continuous development, supported by a team of teachers and complying with a methodology based on Design Theory.  This includes a definition of needs, the study of the best solutions and, lastly, the materialisation of your proposed solutions through a variety of models that will upgrade your skillset. You’ll have access to presentations, talks, group discussions, seminars, and, most importantly, modelling and workshops where you’ll be able to develop your models and materials.

About the course

You’ll learn to create interior design projects from the initial sketches to the final spaces, for different areas with diverse uses. You’ll gain knowledge about project organisation methodologies and typologies. You’ll coordinate interior design creation and remodelling processes, integrate multidisciplinary teams to elaborate projects, offer consultancy and coordination and experience, first hand, other activities related to the current and future tendencies in Interior Design.
