He attended the Film course at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC) from 1989 to 1992, completing his degree in 2021. He currently works as a director of photography and camera operator, while teaching Film and Cinematography courses at the Cascais School of Arts and Design (CSARTS). He has had a long career as a camera assistant and operator, with numerous national and international collaborations.
In 2010, his first opportunity to work as a director of photography came with the film Parto by António Borges Correia, and since then, he has worked in a variety of formats all over the world, from fiction to advertising, as well as documentaries and music videos. Some of these projects have received awards, such as Os Olhos de André at IndieLisboa, A Língua at the Avanca Film Festival, the series Madre Paula, considered the best TV series at the Sophia Awards, and Último Acto, which won best cinematography by the AlP.
