She holds a Law degree (FCSH/UCL) and completed the 4th year (pre-Bologna) of the History course (FCSH/UNL); she also completed the Professional Course in Conservation and Restoration of Easel Painting (EPCP/IRDL) and other training in decorative arts (IADE).
Professionally, she was Director of the Communications Museum at the Portuguese Communications Foundation (2006–2019) and a legal advisor at Portugal Telecom/Altice (1988–2006). In parallel, she taught for over 25 years subjects such as Art History, History of Furniture, History of Painting Techniques, and Ethics of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at IAO – Institute of Arts and Crafts of the Autonomous University of Lisbon (1996–2021).
She is currently a lecturer in the disciplines of Art History, Art Studies, and Curatorship in the Painting and Sculpture course at Cascais School of Arts & Design.
