BiBi Perestrelo is an actress and acting coach with a solid theatrical background and an extensive artistic career in both theatre and film. She began her training at the Escola de Teatro do Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon and later continued her studies at the Sonia Moore Studio in New York, as well as at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, where she worked with renowned professionals such as Eva Winkler, Adolfo Gutkin, Polina Klimovitskaya, and Marcia Hauffrecht.
In theatre, she has collaborated with a wide range of acclaimed directors, including Ángel Faccio, Filipe La Féria, Fernando Heitor, Águeda Sena, José Barreiros, Sam Lufti, Adolfo Gutkin, Sonia Moore, Carlos Fragateiro, Geraldo Tuche, José Gouveia, Mário Feliciano, João Brites, Polina Klimovitskaya, Suzete Bragança, Ana Morato, Cristina Chafirovitch, Luz da Câmara, Luís Castro, and Hugo Tourita.
In cinema, she has worked with directors such as Margarida Gil, Joaquim Leitão, Alain Tanner, and José Álvaro Morais, participating in several auteur-driven films.
Alongside her artistic work, BiBi has built a strong teaching career in the performing arts. She has taught at the Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo, Lisbon Acting Studio, Universidade Moderna, Universidade de Évora, the Tires Women’s Prison, the Setúbal Contemporary Dance Academy, and the Lisbon Dance Company.
Her work is marked by a rigorous and passionate approach to the craft of acting, combining an artistically demanding vision with a deep commitment to teaching and to the development of new generations of performers.
